1 day  

Meeting with the guide and driver in Ulan Bataar (Ulaanbaatar).

Transfer to the Mongolian nomad camp.
Folk show of Mongolian nomads (experience on the daily life of the traditional Mongolian family and nomadic herders)
- production of dairy products and tasting
- real demonstration of the movement of the Mongolian shepherd family with oxen and camels
- the milking of yaks, sheep, goats and mares
- creation of felt and tanning
- national musical instruments and popular songs

Lunch at the camp.
Along the way, visit Khogno Khaan mountains. This area represents a unique picture of the natural contrasts that unite the Mongolian Gobi Desert and Hangaj landscapes. Visit the ruins of the local monastery, Ovgon Khiid. Walk on the sand dunes, Elsen Tasarhai. Camel ride. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.

2 day

Breakfast. Visit to one of the largest monasteries in Mongolia, Erdene Zuun, founded in 1586. Visit the Kharakorum Museum, where we can learn in more detail about the history of the Mongolian Empire and the importance that the Karakorum had in its growth , being not only the capital of a vast Mongol empire, but also the epicenter of trade along the entire Silk Road. Visit the local market and walk around the surroundings. Continuation towards the Orkon waterfall. Along the way visit Shankh Hiid monastery. Lunch along the way. Arrival at Orkhon waterfall, the main attraction of this region of Mongolia. The waterfall was formed by a unique combination of volcanic eruptions and earthquakes approximately 20,000 years ago. During the peak summer season, the waterfall extends 16 m high and 5 m wide. Arrival at the camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

3 day

Breakfast. Visit to Tuvkhun Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries in Mongolia, located on the border between Arkhangai and Ovorkhangai province, about 70 km from Kharakorum. Packed lunch along the way. Walk to Tuvkhun Temple which is located on the top of Mount Shiveet (3 km). Continue to the Tsenher hot springs. Arrival and visit to the Tsenher thermal springs, among the most important in Mongolia. Possibility to swim. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

4 day 

Breakfast. Transfer to Tsetserleg. Visit to the Arhangai Aimag museum. Visit the local monastery and Buddha complex. Lunch along the way. Transfer to Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur lake. On the way stop at the Chuluut River. Arrival at the camp. Free time.

Dinner and overnight stay at the tourist camp.

5 day

Breakfast. Trip to visit the crater of the Khorgo volcano. Khorgo Volcano is an extinct volcano located on the east side of Lake Terkhiin Tsagaan. It was the last active volcano in Mongolia.
The journey continues via Moron (capital of Hôvsgôl province) through stunning open steppe scenery with rolling hills in the background, to the Great Lake Khovsgol National Park. Packed lunch along the way.
In the city of Murun we will visit a small Buddhist monastery of the  Gelugpa School of Tibetan Buddhism, the Danzadarjaa Khiid, rebuilt in 1990. Visit the Khuvsgul Aimag Museum. Arrival at the camp.

Dinner and overnight at the camp.

​6 day  

Free time at the Great Khuvsgul Lake. Boat trip to Khatgal village. Visit the reindeer herders' family.

Horseback riding (1 hour).

Dinner and overnight at the camp.

7 day 

Breakfast. Visit to Amarbayasgalant Monastery, "Monastery of Tranquil Happiness", located in north-central Mongolia. It is one of the few that has remained almost completely intact. Built in 1737 to house the remains of Zanabazar, an important religious figure, its style is almost exclusively Chinese. The ocher color of this sumptuous succession of temples contrasts with the verdant nature and the wooded mountains in the background. After Erdene Zuu Khiid in the Karakhorum, Amarbayasgalant Khiid is considered the most important monastery in Mongolia. Packed lunch along the way. Arrival at the camp. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

8 day 

Breakfast. Transfer to the Buddhist monastery of Aglag Buteel 115 km from Ulaanbaatar. Packed lunch along the way. Camp accommodation. Free time. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

9 day 

Breakfast. Visit Aglag Buteel monastery built south of Garid (Garuda) Uul, a beautiful mountain with larch forest. Packed lunch. The granite rocks were carved as statues in the Buddhist tradition, each signifying a particular symbolic meaning. Excursion to the monastery with its rich heritage of turtle rocks, goruda, fish and fertility rocks.
Return by car to Ulaanbaatar.

Transfer to station/airport or hotel (for those who opt for an extension).

How to get to Mongolia?
